SIMPLE CHURCH | LifeGroup Leaders Help

There are two ways to access the tools for taking group attendance and submitting/sending your weekly group email report. 1) The App on your smartphone or smart device OR 2) through the website on your internet browser. Below are steps for both.


On the Simple Church App (Smart Phone or Smart Device)

The Simple Church free app is available for Apple and Andriod devices. Download the “Simple Church CRM (Productivity)” app, NOT the Simple Church CheckIn app. 

Log in to the app (available for Apple and Android)

  1. Domain: VioletBaptistChurch
  2. Enter your username and password.

How To Take Attendance (Smart Device App):

  1. Click green “Attendance” button
  2. Choose the date you’re recording attendance for if not recording it real-time today.
  3. Open your LifeGroup
  4. Touch the names of the group members who are present
  5. Click [Save] button (Apple users) or [Back] button (Andriod users)
  6. The attendance has been recorded

How To Complete Your Weekly Email/Report (Smart Device App):

  1. Click green “Contact” button
  2. Choose your Group
  3. Type in a Subject
  4. Type in the body of your email/report
  5. Log As: “LifeGroup Email.” (Note: Click the dropdown menu to change it from the default of “don’t log” status.)
  6. [Send]

Add People to Your LifeGroup (Smart Device App):

  1. Open “Groups” and choose your Group
  2. Click the “+” button 
  3. Find the person’s name and tapping on it once to add them to your group.   

Remove People from Your LifeGroup (Smart Device App):

  1. From your web browser, use the steps below to remove individuals from your group.

Simple Church on a Web Browser

  1. Access the website: VioletBaptistChurch.SimpleChurchCRM.com
    (This link is available on the Violet and LifeBridge websites under “Resources.”
  2. Enter your username and password.

How To Take Attendance (Web Browser):

  1. Click “Attendance” menu on the left panel
  2. Choose your Group (if you are a Leader of more than one group, they are listed here. Otherwise, you will only have one group listed.)
  3. Select the date for which you’re recording attendance
  4. For each member who is present, click the present button to the right of their name.
  5. Optional: In the “Excused?” column, you can indicate any special circumstances if known for those who are absent. For example, Shut In, Sick, Hospital, etc. This is only optional.
  6. Click [Add Visitor] and type in the name of any visitors. If they are already in our database, their name will appear for you to select. If they are not yet in our database, click “Add Individual Not in the List” to add them and click [Save] on the window that opens.
  7. [Save] to submit your attendance for the date you indicated.

How To Complete Your Weekly Email/Report (Web Browser):

  1. Click the arrow next to “Groups” menu on the left panel
  2. Choose the “Mass Contact
  3. Choose your group
  4. Enter a subject (i.e. Weekly LifeGroup Report)
  5. Enter your message in the body field.
  6. Put a checkmark in “Log Contact as Interaction” and choose “LifeGroup Email” as the Interaction Type
  7. Optional: Include yourself on this message so you receive it via email too.
  8. [Send]

Note: Please encourage your group members to update their profiles, especially if you get a message while sending your weekly email indicating you have group members who have invalid or missing email addresses. Each person can edit the following fields on their own profile: Name, Address, Home Phone, Cell Phone, Email, Profile Picture.

Add People to Your LifeGroup (Web Browser):

  1. Click the “Groups” menu on the left panel
  2. Open your group by clicking on the name of the group
  3. Click the “Gear Icon” and choose “Add Individuals to this Group”
  4. Search for their name by typing a portion or all of their name. If you don’t see their name listed, they aren’t in our database yet and you’ll need to add them to your group as a “Visitor” when taking attendance. 
  5. Click the name of the person you want to add. Note: you can add multiple people at a time.
  6. Click [Done] button. 

Remove People from Your LifeGroup (Web Browser):

  1. Click the “Groups” menu on the left panel
  2. Open your group by clicking on the name of the group
  3. Put a checkmark next to the person you want to remove
  4. Click the “Gear Icon” and choose “Remove from Group”
  5. Click [Ok] button.
