PROMISES
FOUR FOUNDATIONAL PROMISES
The Promise of God’s Power

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
2 Corinthians 12:9-10 NIV

Big Idea: The promise of God’s power reminds us that His _________________ is most clearly revealed in our _______________________.

EMBRACING THE PROMISE OF GOD’S POWER

1. Receive God’s __________________ in your weakness.

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 2 Corinthians 12:9 NIV

  • His grace is _____________________ when I feel like I am not enough.

2. Rely on God’s ___________________ in your suffering.

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 2 Corinthians 12:9 NIV

  • Our weakness is the _______________ for God’s strength.

3. Rejoice in God’s _____________________ in your life.

  • The less I cling to my strength, the more I can ___________________ in His.

LIVING THE PROMISE OF GOD’S POWER

  • Acknowledge your weakness.

Stop pretending you’ve got it all together. Ask God to meet you in your struggles and sustain you. His grace is sufficient, even in your limitations.

  • Rely daily on His grace.

Pray, “Lord, give me enough for today.” Like manna, grace is fresh each morning.

  • Turn your trials into your testimony.

Let your weaknesses, when empowered by God, point others to His glory and faithfulness.

The Bottom Line:
Your weakness is not the end of your _______________ — it is the place where God displays His power, makes you His witness, and points others to the risen Christ.
