Summer Songs
Psalm 46
Unshakable

Big idea: God is our unshakable ___________________, __________________, and _______________________ — no matter what storms we face.

3 Unshakable Truths

1. God is Our Refuge in __________________________.

“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear…” Psalm 46:1–2a NIV

  • When trouble comes, you don’t run ____________ God—you run ______ God.

2. God is Our Strength in __________________________________.

There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God… God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day.” Psalm 46:4–5 NIV

  • You may not be able to control the chaos around you, but you can _________________ the God who is with you in it.

3. God is Our Presence in ___________________________.

“Be still, and know that I am God…” Psalm 46:10a NIV

Life Application Challenge:

  • Identify Your “False Fortresses”
Where are you tempted to run when life shakes? Is it work? Is it entertainment? Is it relationships? Write them down and confess them to God.
  • Practice “Being Still” Daily
Take five minutes each day this week to stop. No phone. No to-do list. Just breathe, pray, and meditate on Psalm 46:10—“Be still, and know that I am God.”
  • Run to the Refuge Together
Who in your life needs to hear that God is a safe place? Invite them to experience His presence—with you, in prayer, in worship, in small group.

The Bottom Line:
This Psalm doesn’t promise the storm will stop. But it does promise that the ___________________________ will stand.
