Coming this Summer! June 8-13

Looking for summer activities for your K-6th graders? Picktown Sports and Arts Camp, hosted by Violet Baptist Church, is offering soccer, football, basketball and cheer clinics along with the arts of music, drama & crafts.  Special guest, Roy Hall, former NFL & OSU wide receiver, will be starting and ending our camp week. Camp instructors include coaches from local athletic associations and former Division I athletes. Our goal for the week is to build confidence, creativity and character in each camper in a positive environment. Parents can stick around to attend a session on relevant topics that are current with our youth culture. Sessions will run concurrent to the camp. Saturday celebrates the week and is open to all campers and their families. Skills & drills, contests, art performances and demonstrations, bounce houses and carnival treats will be free on Saturday.  All events to take place between Victory and Sycamore Park in downtown Olde Pickerington. Mark the dates! Registration opening soon.

Hands Out Providing Encouragement

Interested in getting involved in serving our local community. From local events to packaging nourishing meals for the weekly Weekend Food Program to donating food, there’s a place for you in the H.O.P.E. Ministry. Providing H.O.P.E. through nourishment – “Weekend Food Program”  There are students in our community who, beyond the school week, are without food. The Violet H.O.P.E. Ministry delivers bags of food every Friday to local Elementary schools to students of families who have signed up for this assistance. The food bags consist of ready to eat, non perishable, healthy options that do not require cooking or much prep in order for safety for the children and are bagged with Safe Food Handling Regulations. There are three ways to help: Donate needed food items, assemble bags on Friday mornings and/or be a Delivery Driver.
